A FTP client can also be used to connect to our FTP server. A FTP client is a separate piece of software. Using this other piece of software has advantages, in that you can let the program run in the background, it will usually reconnect and resume an upload without having to start over, usually it is a bit quicker and finally you can follow the status of the upload. We recommend using the program of Filezilla for this task. It is a free open sourced program that can be located here and downloaded from here . 1. Download and install the program. The default settings will be enough for what we need to accomplish here. 2. Call and obtain an username and password from us. 800.962.2767 3. Open Filezilla and you should see something like this. 4. Near Section A you will find this. You need to enter this information. 69.11.187.43 in the Address section (1.) The given username into the User section (2.) The given password into the Password section (3.) 21 in the Port Section (4.) Then click on the Quickconnect Button (5.) 5. Information should scroll through Section B and once you are fully connected you should see this in Section E.
6. You are now ready to choose what files you want to send to us. In the Section C, you will find a directory structure of your computer. Point this to the location of your files. 7. Once you have the directory chosen, in Section D, you will find a listing of the files in this directory. If you have only one file to upload, simply double the file name in Section D. This will begin the upload process. If you have multiple files to upload, highlight the filename and then drag the File to Section F. Repeat as often as needed. 8. If you dragged multiple files into Section F, you have one extra step. You need to click on the Process Queue button. (1) This will start the file upload. 9. As the files are uploading. (1) is how much time it has gone so far for uploading (2) is how much time it still has to go. (3) is a percentage of the file uploaded so far. (4) is a listing for how much you have in your queue still if running multiple files. 10. Filezilla is disconnected will normally reconnect itself and restart with the option to resume the file as default. This is by far the best option for direct uploading to us. Still though, you are going to be limited by your connection to the internet so this process may take hours if not longer. (click here for more info) |
